Elaine Briggs is a French and British writer and translator based in Tours, France. She studied French literature at Exeter University and English literature at the universities of Rennes 2, Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris 3 and Tours.

She is a published poet, winning the Segora Vignette competition and subsequently judging the same competition’s entries in both French and English. Her poems have been successful in Hungry Hill competitions,  receiving second place in 2016. Collections have been long- and short-listed by Cinnamon, and poems anthologized by Forward and Segora. Envoi published two poems in June 2018.
